Fear is the brake system that stops ideas in their tracks before they even have a chance. It's also responsible for keeping many people in undesirable situations. Napoleon Hill in his classic, Think and Grow Rich, listed five major fears that kept people from achieving success. They are: Fear of poverty Fear of criticism Fear of ill health Fear of lost love Fear of old age Fear of death The first three are the most common that you will find but the last three are often the fears behind the fears. Countless new business are not started because of the first two fears listed - poverty and criticism. Many excuses are given - I have a family to think about, what would the neighbors think and what if it failed? If you have dealt with a Network Marketing opportunity then I can almost guarantee that you have run into these two either with yourself or with a prospect. Belief in yourself and your abilities are the only cure for these two. I have also known people with the fear of ill health. The modern term is hypochondriac. I have seen this fear cripple a person's life. I have also seen people overcome legitimate physical limitations and conditions to lead wonderful, active lives. Make the decision now to take care of your health and not let minor aches and pains be a major limitation in your life. The fear of loss of love is based on a lie. Either those that love you love you or they are just fair weather friends. If they love you then they want you to succeed as well. The last two deal with inevitable events. Yes, if you continue living then you will get older and eventually your physical body will die. The object is not to focus on these but to focus on living in the here and now. If you live the life you want then at the end you will have few regrets and will look forward to the next stage in your existence. Keep your focus on what you want and fear will have no place to enter your life.
